I started this personal challenge around July-ish 2013. The items listed are roughly from July – December 2013.

So here is my first official use up the stash list, I was even more motivated to carry this challenge. When I went for the bag and saw how many items I have faithfully emptied. I’ve already put up another bag in my bathroom, in preparation for session #2 starting from January 2014. I’ve even gone through my stash and took out all the items I aiming to use up by around June of this year. It’s thick and you can see the butter/oils in this treatment. It sort of resembles ‘greek yoghurt’. I was expecting it to come in a jar but it turn up in a bottle o.O

You will see in my demo video how I was shaking that bottle to get the product out. I eventually gave up and took the cover off lol That is the only gripe I have about this product.

Now unto its performance as previously mentioned it’s thick, creamy and have a nice butter/oil base. As soon as it made contact with my hair. My hair did indeed melt and instantly puff ups [which lead me to believe there is somewhat an element of liquid in this product – there’s a wet feel to it].

You can see how my fingers easily gliding through my hair. I was even pulling off shed hairs continuously off both my fingers and palm. I ended up leaving this pre-treatment on overnight – >.< because I was lazy.

It claims it will leave the scalp some what cleansed, and I must say it feel feel my scalp decent, there was very little build-up on my scalp. This session I will be using some products I was sent many months ago to review.

I started out with a pre-poo using coconut oil and I finger detangled. I decide that from this month for about the next 2 months I will be giving finger detangling a go again. I tried it out at the start when I BC 16 months ago but I didn’t appreciate it then. Neither did I fully understand how to work with my hair and what would work to help make finger detangling easier and effective.

Anyway, the night before I took apart my twist out and work through each twist-outs with some coconut oil and gently work it through from tips to root and then from roots to tip throughout my hair.

After my whole head was detangled and coconut oil was applied to it, I then cover my hair with two steam caps and scarf up for the night.

The [pic] below is my hair the next day after the over night pre-poo and the coconut oil I used to pre-poo with.

<img title="P9011723" style="float: left; Isn’t that good, yes an oil can be light, but add sheen and seal well. This does not offer any of those benefits and believe me I know what an oil should feel like. I have used oils from the common oil such as olive oil to amla (ayurvedic).

Also the smell is off putting, you can blatantly smell it is a doped up perfume mix. By this time the fragranced / perfume scent from the shampoo and DC that lingers along with the scent from this was somewhat too much. I’ll say if you are one that have trouble with sinuses / nasal issues, this may somewhat trigger a reaction.

It added no sheen and it didn’t do a good a job of sealing what there was of moisture into my hair.

You can clearly see there is no sheen to my my hair, it did not do a good job at sealing in the moisture either. What I notice about this shampoo, is once applied to my hair it made my hair felt some what stiff. I could not glide/slide my fingers through my hair like I could when I had pre-poo; in an attempt to detangle. Once I felt the stiffness I did not attempt any further, due to fear of breakage.

I then proceed to rinse out the shampoo from each section and my hair felt ‘reaaaally’ clean; actually too clean. Remember I pre-poo overnight with coconut oil. Well the shampoo have completely cleansed ALL oils from my hair and scalp, it cleaned eeeeverything; this ‘sulfate free’ shampoo cleansed in an unusual way. It cleansed just like a sulfate / border line a clarifying shampoo o.O.

I am not impressed with the results of this shampoo, it left my hair some what stiff and on the dry side. If I wanted a weekly sulfate free shampoo, I wouldn’t purchase this for that purpose as it is too drying. But for a clarifier and to remove excess build up from products it would do just that.

Price: [I was given this item to review, I am not being paid to review this product and the review / opinions are my own].

Rating: 2/5 – too drying / striping with the claims of being sulfate-free!
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16590409077615862607noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1025994734147522941.post-13004287033168524722013-08-31T20:10:00.001+01:002013-08-31T20:10:49.679+01:00Hairveda Whipped Gelly

Promises: Whipped Gelly is a light holding gel without the harsh alcohol and flakiness. I’m actually loving this stuff. It gave me really nice result in terms of definition [that I actually like], softness and sheen. I was a little hesitant when I first saw it on sale and decide to order it. I am not a fan of gel / gel-like-products. I did look up some YT reviews on it and it had very good reviews. But I was still on the fence on how it will work for me. As you can see from the [pics] I have two jars, one [1] 6oz tub and a 16oz tub. This was done in error lol when I ordered as I got all carried away when I saw a few hairveda goodies on sale on britishcurlies. As I could get them on sale to try for [half] the actual price. This sort of mistake as you may know is only done by a true PJ [product junkie] lol

It however gave me a pleasant surprise. Well you know how life can be at times. But I am hoping to make a full return and have regular updates, especially as how it seems to be warming up here.

I also have a lot of reviews to bring to you and some hair updates.

Anyways I have decided to add something new to the blog that will and or should allow me to be more proactive with blogging. Anyways let me cut to the chase and let you know what it is that I decide to add. I will be adding my weekly sessions / my washday’ sessions. This allow me to show what I do and how I do it and at the same time get some product reviews done.

So with that being said here is my first wash session upon my return to blogging.

Friday, August 16, 2013 - wash session!

I had to pull out my Elucence Moisture Shampoo & Elucence Moisture Balancing Conditioner << click on each product for a full review :).

Okay I had pull out this DC out fir two [2] reasons;

1. my jacked my own hair up about a week ago with another DC. It wasn’t the DC fault so I am not going to say which DC it is. I’ve used this DC for years without any issues until I decided to act a fool and leave in overnight. Due to the fact that I started my hair late and decided to sleep with it in, which at the time I was contemplating that it would not be a good idea. But due to being lazy; I let that overcame my common sense.

So due to my hair being ridiculously dry and brittle, I needed moisture to the MAX to help restore moisture, softness and bring back pliability to my parched hair.

2. This is the second time I am using it and I wanted to pair it with one of its shampoo. The shampoo pictured will be the first time I will be using it.

So I had pre-pooed/hot oil treat my hair overnight with a mix of coconut oil & black castor oil.

I then proceed to cleanse my scalp and pull the suds through to the ends of my hair using the [elucence moisture benefits shampoo]. Where I have to wash in sections and wet each section down thoroughly with water prior to product application. It smell like medicine to me 2). I did not like the results when I followed the instructions on the bottle. Waste of a DC session. For that reason it has been sitting under my sink for a little while. Results was not favourable.

I decide to try it again, but using it my way. I shampoo my hair then I apply it to damp hair and it gave great ease for detangling I then sat under my steamer for 30mins and let my hair cool down and then rinse.

OMG was my hair silky smooth and so soft and manageable, I had to feel and see if my hair was going to stay on my head. I kid you not it was so soft, detangling was so easy, no snagging and the knots really came apart easily. I got only 3 uses from this 325ml/11fl oz. I think it was due to the fact that the first use was done on dry hair. I believe I could’ve gotten way more use if I had use it my way; which is on freshly shampooed hair, them allow to dry and apply to damp hair.

The smell has now grown on me, it has a light under tone of lavender and lavender is among the ingredients. For some reason I can not smell that medicine smell it had when I first used it. All in all it is a good conditioner and may make its way on my staple list.

Price: $8.36@ vitadost.com

Rating: 5/5
Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16590409077615862607noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1025994734147522941.post-129673425840015572012-10-13T22:41:00.000+01:002012-10-14T15:36:16.086+01:00Twist-Out Then……, Twist-Out Now!
Some more style I played with when I BC earlier on this year [March 2012] this was one of my first twist-out and braid-outs and chunky twist out dos are my friend.
